What we do:
The Martha’s Vineyard Touchdown Club is a non-profit organization that supports Island athletes playing football and participating in cheerleading. We provide scholarships, uniforms, gear, helmets, equipment, team meals, a year-end banquet, and items that the athletic department is unable to provide. The Club Members are volunteer parents and friends of Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School and Martha’s Vineyard Middle School Football. We value sportsmanship, team building, and bringing home the Island Cup.
Where and When:
The MV Touchdown Club meets at MVRHS on the first Wednesday of each month. The mailing address is MV TOUCHDOWN CLUB, P. O. Box 4721, Vineyard Haven, MA 02568, [email protected]
Our Goal:
Our goal this year is to raise money to purchase new uniforms and machines for training. For many student athletes, this is not just playing football. It is being part of a team and learning the values of teamwork. This is a steppingstone to playing at the collegiate level, but, more importantly, it is about supporting your peers and preparing young people to face challenges in life beyond the field. It is important to train and learn solid foundational skills as a team/squad member, as a member of the community, and as a representative of Martha’s Vineyard as these athletes pursue their dreams.
